Hunter S. Thompson Yeah, so Hunter killed himself today and I can't stop thinking about it. Fear and Loathing has been one of my favorite books for a long time. I still remember reading it for the first time one summer out on a leafy green deck when I was a teenager. It blew me away then and I suspect it always will. This is such a huge, huge loss. I can only hope that he's at peace now and that his demons are finally silenced. I lit a candle for him when I first heard and its still burning now. What a sad day... Here we go.... Hey kids! As you certainly have noticed, we have a snazzy new site, courtesy of the amazingly talented and twisted Alyssa Sturgill. (Buy her book Spider Pie, from Raw Dog Screaming Press, unless you wish a pox upon your house!)We may even update the thing once in a while... Pretty soon, Carlton Mellick III's book The Menstruating Mall will be available to order. We're very excited and hope everyone checks it out asap. It's cooler than mohawked zombies doing a line dance! So be prepared for the big afterbirth bomb, soon to be crashing into a head near you. Watch the skies.... |
